Thought it was ridiculous at starting time but I love how the author justified and explain their actions. Especially love richielli'due south backstory!! So 10/10 for that haha. It made me think most how people similar richielli would exercise in one case in a state of affairs like that, he might even be my favorite character! Not because I like how he thinks only because of how he seemed to be based of a real person

This is an astonishing story. The pacing is so well done as the plot moves forrad at a pace that'southward neither too ho-hum (so not boring) nor too fast (so not jarring). At that place's plenty of space given to develop the characters' relationships with each other, equally well as for each grapheme to have their ain character development. Each character has a dissimilar unique personality as well, with both strengths and flaws highlighted. The antagonists that are introduced are nuanced and not merely "evil bad guys." They all have their personal agendas.
This is an example of a "reborn" manga done very well when it comes to aging and behavior. It's perfectly conceivable for a 25 year old to have a hard time being a mother while withal managing to exist a good one. That she's mature benefits her profoundly, but that doesn't mean she doesn't confront challenges as what lies ahead of her are all sorts of difficult political challenges that realistically a 16 year former who was until recently a commoner would never exist able to surmount. The maturity she has and the challenges she however faces despite that maturity are both realistic.
The story is interesting and progresses naturally, with an overall mystery slowly showing itself.
The art is nice and there'southward a good balance of heavy scenes and beautiful scenes.
The female lead is great. She is shown to agree her own, but also to have her moments of weakness like anybody else. While she's too busy tending to everything else to take time for a unique personality, she's level-headed, a good female parent, and a good marchioness.
This honestly is a smashing read.

The story is very good, character development is done with the correct motivations and at the correct pace, expert dose of reality, wonderful art, also, the children are very cute. Definitely worth a read.

Every bit of Tuesday 16th of March 2021, i take only finished chapter 62 - function of the arc titled 'Epilogue' - and i am overcome with grief. I am seriously total on Bawling and i still havent even finished. My heart is almost to break. The story was truly able to make me feel the utter sense of loss and regret the Neuschwansteins would take felt. And i too felt.
This bankrupt me. This seriously broke me.
Moreover personally, more than romantic tragedies, familial tragedies, particularly those that deal with motherhood - that veing either a mothers loss of her kid or a child'due south loss of their female parent - strike a chord and so deep within me and wring out feelings of grief i just cannot draw
This webnovel exemplified this so well. The fluff at the kickoff. The human relationship and love i adult for the characters. The capacity up until the epilogue all lead to an understanding of the characters and contextualization. This context - this personalization - amplified the touch on of the 'Epilogue.' It compounded the heartache and sorrow of it all.

Shuli you deserve so much more. Yous deserve a happy ending. You did not deserve what they did to you. The globe is an unjust place. The globe is a horrible disgusting place. This arc just made me ponder of how many incidents in our world were of the aforementioned nature as this - where selfless innocents were brutalized for greed and misdirection, and left behind mountains of regret and sorrow, wither their own or their loved ones.

Edit: It is weird how all guys around Shuli turn out as absessed over her just cuz she kind. Its a dumb matter . No matter who Shuli ends upward with (i hope its not Jeremy), that obsession makes it a bit nausiating. Nonetheless worth the read cuz Shuli is awesome.

For a piddling scrap I was worried that the potential of the premise and the prologue would be unmet, because the get-go few chapters (the aftermath of the funeral) were VERY weak. But A Stepmother's Märchen quickly straightens out; I really enjoyed the trial arc, and the electric current arc of Shuli'south outset life/death is great. Parts of this story will stick with me long after I terminate it, I just know.
There'southward a lot of hammy characterisation, and stock tropes become whacked in hither. The evil priest is a petty unbelievable, considering his main beef with Shuli is that... she's a adult female? But there has been a flake of development for his graphic symbol and for the church which is really strengthening their part in the story and giving them a bit of complication. Similarly, the crown prince grapheme who seemed like an ordinary (abrasive) dear-rival has become something more than interesting in regards to mothering, and trauma, and his very strange human relationship with Nora (and Nora's parents) makes me become a little insane, I am obsessed.
Shuli's stride-children are peculiarly fantastic: I actually enjoy how childish they are, considering it'southward a wonderful contrast to Shuli, and a testament to her hard work that they are allowed to just exist kids with her.
A Stepmother'southward Märchen goes through a real journey, in my opinion. In general, I feel like the storytelling holds back what could be an incredible story about claustrophobic motherhood and the horrible circumstances that get forced upon women. Merely there is still so much to like, and I accept a lot of fun reading this! The high points, when they get there, are incredible, and the story getting better and ameliorate. Very much looking forrad to seeing where it goes!

"A Stepmother'south Märchen" is my favourite foray into "I'm a woman and I've been isekai'd (or revived) into an aristocrats/oligarchs life" – thank god I'm not the one coming upwardly with these sub-genre tags! I could heap endless praise onto this manhwa – the execution, plot conceit, art, character designs, political/social intrigue are all fantastic. Shuli is an awesome main grapheme and incredibly likeable. Really the whole cast of characters are impeccable. They take plasticity and breadth; the improvident social events and the formal political proceedings feel electrical as our diminutive cast clashes and bounces off ane some other. Compassion is genuinely felt for each one, every bit their highs and lows are experienced through out the story. I practice hope to see further exploration of other large names that have appeared in the story, only obviously haven't had a run a risk to take a center phase narratively simply yet. Peculiarly in the antagonist department…
One issue with the modern mind conjuring the political and social setting of 18/19th century (?) Europe is that justice is not necessarily done to mindset and ideological/theological backing that people inside this menstruation would have. This is particularly apparent in the main priest adversary, who is a very devout believer (as near all people would have been at this time) in his faith, and this is currently being used to fuel his disdain for our MC. Some of information technology just reads to me as a bit trite and cliched in the current yr, only it's a manhwa so… Obviously I'm not looking for historical accuracy, but it is something that will naturally flag in my heed when a story is trying to weave a narrative that touches on political/social/theological motivations. As long as his motivation becomes a scrap more complicated than "muh organized religion says women must be quiet, and so don't like the talkative woman herpa derp" then I will be satisfied. Albeit, the character has already shown enough of interesting interactions with many people in the cast, include the MC, so I am possibly being overly pedantic. This point does dovetail nicely with my adjacent concern, in that we have but come out of an arc (involving the crown cost and the eldest son of Shuli) that felt a flake contrived. There is an explanation for the heightened drama of the situation via graphic symbol motivations, and it leaves me feeling.. Generally satisfied. Only a lot of annoyed over something that was just paw waved away, particularly when the climax didn't feel as "ballsy" as it could have, left me feeling slightly unfulfilled. Ultimately I am nit picking a bit, but it is only because these sort of bug could proceed to crop upwardly into the future, which might defuse my enjoyment later into the story. I practice take very high hopes though, as the narrative has some incredibly juicy morsels left to feed us (Romance! Romance! Romance!).

I enjoy this, but somehow i love it more than if this ended up with no romance at all like Family unit lovey dovey, but well even tho this accept romance still very good tho- and I feel bad and so much for her in fer start timeline, not just her merely their child too bruh they were misunderstand but when they want to repent, she is dead and i hate ohara bruh (Jeremi Fiance in the first life),

Taking care of someone else'due south kids even though y'all're around the same age every bit them and being left alone later on the expiry of your "then called husband" who'due south older than you and have to face the harshness of life alone and all the greed of others..
I wouldn't take fabricated it. I would have run. But this MC didn't. She loved those kids that wasn't her own, unconditionally. SHE FOUGHT WITH HER OWN STRENGTH, DIDN'T WAVER. Even when she wasn't supported by the very aforementioned kids she fought for. This fourth dimension around, in her new life, I promise she does go recognition and love that she deserves.

Well, she did get recognition her 2nd life, but I promise once the older kid gets married, she's invited to his wedding ceremony this time and that she finds someone to love and ally her too once she'southward finished her duties to the kids.
